Monitor Shade

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or under the Raw, Post Processing forum.

Does anyone use one of those shades on their monitors to block out light?

If so, did you purchase separately or did it come with the monitor?

If bought separately, where did you purchase it from? I've tried to find them online but haven't had any luck. I'm not sure if I'm searching using the right terms.

When the room I viewed in required one, I would make my own out of black foam core

i no there's other people that do this! but i build my own out of cardbord' and a staple gun and finished it off with a can of flat black spray paint,it cheep and works vary well on my monitor for blocking out un wanted light from the windows,some thing are best if you do it yourself!

I really need to make one, I've moved monitor to front of a window.

You can make them out of anything that will block light.
Scraps of matt board from a framer are excellent.
