Hi everyone...having posted for ages as 2 boys under 18 months keeping me very busy. Hope everyone is well anyway. Got my new 7d mark ii last week and managed to go out a couple of times recently for an hour or so at a time as the littleuns had their nap. Lighting wasn't great but I also got a 2x teleconverter last week and wanted to try the combination with my 300mm f4. So far really impressed...autofocus is fairly quick and easy to handhold. Also the new camera seems to do well with high isos. Excited to try it in better lighting and with more challenging subjects.

Bkue Rock Thrush with the 2x extender and at iso 8000

Japanese White Eye with the 2x extender,,,these lads really move quick but the autofocus seemed to do fine.

I know these are not the best shots as I literally popped out to test the combo. Can't wait until I can get a full day with some nice light!
