All very nice images Sandy, you are doing so well on the Chickadees. The Sparrow on the dog fence and the re- bar are not showing the best judgement for those temps

Well to answer your question, I know my Chickadees are that tough but I haven't seen any tree sparrows. I know on Monday I saw a lot of birds perching on one leg and many of them sat to eat, also fluffed up all they could. For a couple days it was hard to get a good shot of the Cardinals because the wind had them ruffed up so bad.
The good news, at least for my area, temps going up, going to be mid 40's by the weekend, the Chickadees will be sweating.
Thanks Steve. Good call on the rebar. My husband made me a couple of double Shepherd Hooks to hang plants and feeders. The birds love sitting on them year round. Did you notice the snow blowing sideways in the first two shots?

Do I dare say, some very nice clear, Crisp images Sandy. Well done. Now that's some cold weather to be out in, be it bird or photographer.

Thanks Terry. I went outside to get the first two shots, the others are through the window!

Those are great set Sandy. They seem to love this weather and I enjoy having them around.
Thanks Dan. I think I can deal with the cold better than I can the heat and humidity of the summer. With that being said, I'm glad I have a wood furnace!

I'd stack my chickadees up against yours any day, Sandy! LOL Truly, though, isn't it amazing the temperatures these little guys can tolerate? Great shots, all around.
Thanks Al! It is amazing the colder it is, the more active they are. Plus why sit on metal, when you have plenty of branches right there!
Thanks John!
Thanks Mark!
Thank you Peter!
I really appreciate you all taking the time to comment.
