Here she is (we think it is a she, there is a male in the area) Just before launch to the vole. I missed the take off and catch. it was way too fast for me, she took off like a rocket.

Here she is with her catch. As you can see, she is small, as voles are very small.

VERY nice, Trevor, and such great light. The one with the vole really shows off its size....looks to be Burrowing Owl size, or maybe even a bit smaller.

Wonderful set Trevor. The vole shot shows just how small they are.

Im an Owl person.
The shot with the rodent (vole?) is so cool. Kinda shows the small size of the owl.

Lol, yeah the paparazzi were out in full force. I counted 24 photographers. If I mugged them all, I could pay off my mortgage, and then some :-P

Very similar in size. Or so says more knowledgeable people then me, who were present. They look as though they are closely related. I'm not saying they are, just that they look so.

I even dream about owls, often waking up hearing them in my sleep....your series is outstanding. I probably would have been shaking so hard with excitement I would have completely missed something necessary. A huge thanks for sharing this little (but deadly) marvel.
