These Pelicans sometimes show up during migration seasons. I happened to be up in Phoenix and these 3 have made quite a stir at a local wetlands (reclaimed water facility).

They stayed way out when the light was good but came in closer later in the day (noonish-1pm).
Here are a few I liked.

great shots Jeremy- love the contrast. we always have these in the winter along the southern and western coast but this year they have showed up in numbers in the interior northern glades. interesting subjects for sure

I wish we got them more here, but they eat so many fish I dont think our small ponds could support them and the native species.
