I hope that a vaccine can be developed before it gets much worse. Postponements and cancellations of entertainment like an Airshow is no big deal, I worry about the lives being affected through sickness and businesses possibly failing or having to lay off workers.

I now see all three Southern California Airshows this month are cancelled.

they are excellent. Very nicely captured.

What do the Not Bored get? :p

Thank you! I’m really hoping that I’ll be seeing a lot more of The Great War Team this year with possibly some air to air and I’m sure I’ll find something else to photograph and post during the year!

I like these aeroplanes that I have never heard of before! I have a mediocre F for Formation Friday. I did think about doing Saturday and Sunday but it would have been Supermarine Saturday and Spitfire Sunday! :p:-D

Thank you! I am lucky in that I work at an airfield that has lots of interesting residents and visitors. However it looks like it has finally stopped raining here for a bit so time to stop posting and time to get out and start taking new photographs... maybe of some other things as well.. not just aeroplanes! :-)

Wow what a fantastic scene that must have been, to see these aircraft fly. To me, it's kind of astonishing to think that these planes are still around and airworthy, considering that many if not all were designed and built in rapid order as part of the massive wartime effort, and most likely were built to last a year or two (if they weren't shot out of the sky first). It's a tribute to the men and women who built them but also to those who have lovingly restored and maintained them.

Formation Friday.... here are few from last weekend....the balbo at the end of the Tyabb airshow - ok so nothing on the Duxford Balbo's but not bad for a regional airshow in Australia.

Not great photos, not the closest of formations (but not bad considering the disparate performance of the participants and the 25 knot crosswinds).

But probably a unique formation that wont be seen anywhere else in the world.

Anyone up to identifying all eight (including mark/model) ?

Awesome array there Graham. You certainly captured them very well.
Can't name all but the sight is sufficient for me.

Do you get up amongst them in something? I imagine yes. How far away are you or can you be?
