Great shots! It is incredible how large single seat fighters have become since WWII.

not quite an airshow but i am pretty stoked, just got home from my local airport, i heard this guy come in, got to the airport just he took off from his 3rd touch and go, but i caught his 4th and last

From 2018. Hope I get to make it to an airshow this year.

Pandemic and vaccinations allowing, air show season 2021 is just around the corner. In preparation, the Heritage Flight Training Course took place this weekend.

I really miss the big air shows the military would sponsor each November at one of the AFB's here in San Antonio, during Armed Forces Week. At least, there are a few smaller events scheduled in south Texas from March to May I'm looking forward to.

Thanks Mark. I've been to the air races a few times, but not in a while. I actually prefer a couple of smaller area shows. Smaller crowds and much cheaper (Truckee is free) so I don't feel as bad deleting hundreds of blurry airplane pics.

Exactly one year to the weekend between airshows - far too long!

Lucky to have an the day finish with an RAAF F-35 in formation with a P-40 and 2 Spitfires - more on that later - and then a couple of passes and a vertical exit which I knew was going to hurt the retinas but the pain was worth it!

For any early Pink Floyd aficionados .... Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun!

My last airborne airshow photo... 17/11/19 Aviation Nation at Nellis. Between "acts", as it was the last airshow of 2019 we would attend, I was discussing the 2020 aviation calendar with my companion... how little did we know.

that is an absolutely stunning shot
reminds me of when i was at aviation nation 2916, spent the day friday at the speedway, i was leaving just as the thunderbirds started their practice after filling all the memory cards i had, i was headed to go buy some more, further down from where i was setup i notice a buddy parked so i pulled over to ho talk to him, not bothering to grab my camera, a few minutes later, the solo was setting up for the high speed pass and came in barreling right over top of our heads, felt like i could almost reach up and touch him he was that close, in beautiful lighting like your shot, your shot looks like you could of been standing beside me, i was kicking myself after that for not grabbing my camera
