The Hudson is the only one flying world wide and the CAC Boomerangs only had a production run of approx 200 over 3 years from '42 to '45.

A more close up of a Boomerang, just before take-off, unfortunately the weather was not so good.

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,
Rene.

An excellent shot of things I'll never see in the sky & although I've heard of the Hudson I've never heard of the Boomerangs.

That’s a great picture and so good to see something a bit different!

When the air shows are canceled due to the covid, at least something from the archive.

The only thing I've heard of Boomerangs is that they come back. Must be reassuring for a war plane!

I’ve got some pictures of it at work with a thunderstorm approaching somewhere but I cannot find them! :-(

This one belongs to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. My father took me to the de commissioning ceremony for the last one to serve in the RCAF. Canada calls them Canso's. According to my father's log book he did some training in them during the war but it ended just before he was to go overseas to participate.

The first five are of one that's in a state of disrepair that was open for walk-throughs. I was surprised at how small the passageways are.

The last two I've posted before.

The Cat has to be one of my favourite aircraft. I have the plans for an RC model jobbie. About 4' span if I remember correctly. One day!

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

Awesome photo Graham.
A very unique opportunity to grab them together.
If I remember right, the Boomerangs were a feature of the old war comics from my childhood days. Might be right off there.

I've enjoyed all the seaplanes, flying boat, pictures.
I can remember being in awe seeing one as a kid.
Thanks for posting

I've just discovered Sky Replacement in photoshop! This picture had a very grey and dull sky and I have replaced it but no matter how much I play with it I can never get it looking quite natural or is just because I know it isn't?
