Thanks for the comment.

The F-18 picture was taken a few years ago and even though it's bit blurry, I couldn't make myself delete it due to the timing of the vapor cone.

Based on the cone I'd think there was a lot of humidity helping soften your photo of the the nose section.

I doubt we will see anything like that again at a show? the fastest jet i ever saw displaying was a Phantom doing a long run in and fast low pass along the runway at about 450knots, the one above is even more remarkable when you consider the speed he was going, and to capture that:-D
