We see the juvis too, I saw one last night when I shot that image of the adult. We have both YC and BC here, sometimes at certain angles it's hard to tell. Here are a few of mine, the first three from along the local walking trail that runs adjacent to wetlands and the last two spotted around Crissy Field in San Francisco.      And yes, the Great Blue Heron in the last image did swallow that critter in one gulp. I did get a shaky video of that event with my trusty SX50 Glass half full...
