I've tried to edit this photo on the upload a couple of times. I am new to this. Can someone point me to what i'm doing wrong with the image export settings - the colors seem not to transition right (the finger is a perfect example). I exported it at the size and size the forum needed, and when I look at the file pre-upload it looks okay. I tried uploading to google docs and same issue

If you don't size the, correctly the forum software scales them automatically for you. It's only when image size is too large they won't show I think. so ive previously bin using a Samsung nx300 which i love btw, until i was given a canon 5d mk1 hand me down! so i bought the cheapest lens i could find 50mm f1.8, an heres a pic....so im still learning an saving for glass!!!
