Has anyone ever used a Gorillapod in combination with an Arca-Swiss ballhead?

I'm getting more and more interested in a Joby Gorillapod SLR-Zoom. I already have a very nice tripod setup (see my signature), but I'm drawn to something as small and as flexible as a Gorillapod. My current camera is a Canon EOS 550D (T2i), but I'm planning on buying a Sony A7II or A9 in the future. I don't intend on getting lenses heavier than 1-1,5 kg, so I guess the Gorillapod SLR-Zoom will be sturdy enough. There are multiple Joby ballheads available, but I think it adds up to the total cost in such a way that it becomes a very expensive gadget.

Since I already own one of the best ballheads on the market today (Arca-Swiss Monoball Z1 SP with Quickset Classic Device, which weighs 760 g and has a base diameter of about 7 cm), I'm wondering if I can't just use this ballhead on a Joby Gorillapad SLR-Zoom. Has anyone ever tried this combination? Or perhaps a similar combination (e.g. Joby Gorillapod SLR-Zoom in combination with a Really Right Stuff BH-55 Pro)?

if your going to put an sony A-7 or A9 on joby gorillapod why do you feel the need to use a ballhead the size of the B-1 ! i have a RRS BH-55 and wouldn't think of using it on gorillapod, just get a regular size ballhead as i think it would fit your needs better.

Because my Arca-Swiss ballhead is a much better ballhead than any Joby ballhead on the market today (and probably also in the future). At the same time I could save quite some money by using my Arca-Swiss ballhead on it. Cash doesn't grow on trees here.

I have teh SLR-Zoom, along with their $40 ballhead. It works fantastic with my Action Cam, my wife uses it with a cell phone adapter and my daughter with her bridge camera. Just for fun I mounted my T3 with 15-85 to it, and took it off right after as the tripod portion was just not sturdy enough, the ball head did not move at all however. If you put a large ballhead on it, I can see it being top heavy and wanting to tip easily.
