My first attempt at anything like this. Flash on camera, firing back into the umbrella. The subject on a piece of glass.

Not really happy with the reflection in the lens but otherwise it turned out ok... I need to find something other than glass to avoid the double reflection.

Pretty good. But I agree about the reflection. I use black acrylic plastic sheet, which reflects off the top surface. A mirror reflects off the back surface. I get mine on UK Ebay, but you can no doubt get it in US http://www.ebay.co.uk …91269&hash=item35dfe7a659 (external link) You can also get a silver mirror plastic, which looks like a mirror and reflects as well.

you could try a ceramic tile, probably go to some flooring store and get some larger "samples" for cheap.

Stop talking about your equipment and use it

Good stuff here guys!

Quick question:

I've seen a lot of Yashica to Canon, or other DSLR model camera bodies however; are there any reverse adapters out there? From Canon to Yashica adapter rings? Is there any need for it?

My mother just passed me down a 1989 FX-D in mint condition, and I was wondering if these options are available.
