We found 5 cheetahs early one morning just before sun-up. These 3 boys were sleeping in a pile together. And you thought I was done posting Africa photos!:-P

Very nice shot. But "3 Cheetah Night" doesn't have the same ring as "3 Dog Night" :-)

Sooooooo many. I took 4000 shots but a lot of them are similar so I have been picking out my favorites in order not to be too repetitive.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I am the kind of photographer that spends hours studying and learning about lighting, and boka, and color and light, and every other dad gummed thing about cameras, who has a wife that takes better pictures by accident than I do on purpose.
She doesn't know a pixel from fifty cents a week, and still doesn't understand why she can't get reruns of "Frasier" on her camera when she sets it to 'program'.
This photo is one of my all time favorites, and my excuse for putting it in this thread is all the tiny specs in the distance are snow geese. It's one of hers.

They don’t sing near as well, either.

Isn't that weird? But they do it so they can sense danger and get a head start on jumping to their feet.

These are great. I especially like the shot of the three elephants! It vividly emphasizes how these wonderful animals form strong ties with each other.

Some animals sleep standing up, others sitting up.
It's not uncommon.

It's not uncommon.

We came across three sleeping giraffes. They were laying on the ground, but their heads and necks were upright.

A few years ago our local RSPB reserve had a colony of water voles. You could hear them chew away, but hard to spot

On one day, when trying to spot the water voles; this lady poked her head out for a drink. It was one of those at one with nature moments :-)

This Sika stag came over a ridge, looked down at me, and clearly thought puny human and carried on his way
