In a word- Unsophisticated.
So unsophisticated that photographs like this not very sharp one of a coyote, and two antelope sparring behind some horses makes my day.

I have also met the muskox face to face on Banks Island (Canadian Beaufort Sea). They are fascinating. Have collected carvings and prints of them from Canada and Greenland, several from Ulukhaktok/Holman print shop. Love your photos!

... and, from the good old days, Canon F-1n, FTb, Mamiya 645 (m1000s), etc. -- Rob

What kind? A lucky one! I bought a new EFS 55-250 STM yesterday (my first lens not bought second-hand), and today went to the local game reserve to try it out. I was driving along, taking pictures of birds that were too far away, when a white rhino cow with calf appear, crosses the road right in front of me and disappear into the bushes again.
The only distraction was the amputated horn, but that is becoming a norm now. There are people in Asian countries who believe rhino horn to be an aphrodisiac, and will pay a fortune to have it. So, to protect the rhino from poachers, owners remove the horn and destroy it. It is a painless process, like cutting your toenails and in time it will grow back.

You are very lucky to live where there is so much wonderful wildlife. We visited South Africa for the first time last year for our first ever safari and will be back once the pandemic subsides.

Just in from a 10 day trip to Jackson Hole & Yellowstone. I did hire a wildlife guide for 4 hours one afternoon/ evening but we got lucky by going out at sunrise to find a few animals. These are off my iPad so they may be a bit compromised for viewing.

Super shots, Maureen. The bear appears to be very close.
