Heavy crop, no time for a lens change it was moving quickly through a boulder field full of pika and paused for just a few seconds to see what the clicking was about. Another first time sighting for me. American Pine Marten.

Thank you, I agree. I couldn't believe the speed and agility it had, moving over and under granite boulders, some the size of small cars.
I have another hike planned in the same area in a couple weeks, hopefully I will get another chance for a better photo. I have had so many opportunities this year and not so many great photos to show for it. This sighting was worth the 21 mile hike.
