I miss the camaraderie in this thread!!! Where is everyone?
Everybody is sitting at home, pissed and wondering if we’re ever traveling again.

Hiding from the smoke, postponing hiking trip into Eagle Cap Wilderness for second week due to smoke. Not getting Elk in the rut shots due to smoke. Did I mention it is smokey... and that reminds me no bear pictures due to smoke. Randy

Patiently waiting for others to post awesome photos, thanks Maureen for waking us up. My Alaska trip in May was cancelled, I had hopes of filling a few memory cards and that didn't happen. I work everyday and not taking any photos, poor excuse I know.I wanted to make it back to the Dakotas this fall but can't get away at this time. I have several blinds to shoot from where I live, (two are Rednecks, with heaters) so if all else fails I'll try to photograph some White Tailed deer this fall. They are not a very intimidating animal though getting close can be a challenge, the blinds should help. Steve

I'm sorry that so many are experiencing the fires and smoke in areas that normally can provide such beautiful places and animals to photograph and so many people have been limited with their traveling also. Where I live we are seeing temps in the 50's at night, 70's by day, plenty of rain, no fires, no smoke, leaf color beginning to change, I really should be taking some photos, ![]() I'll be honest. I haven't touched my camera in nearly 6 months. There is nowhere to go and frankly there isn't much motivation to find places to go to shoot. Most of the National Parks are closed. Some of the beach areas are closed. Now the fires and smoke in Western Washington are wreaking havoc with the air quality.
