I miss the camaraderie in this thread!!! Where is everyone?

Everybody is sitting at home, pissed and wondering if we’re ever traveling again.

Mostly dodging smoke and fires, I imagine...heh

Here's something from Mt Rainier before the clouds rolled in on us.

Hiding from the smoke, postponing hiking trip into Eagle Cap Wilderness for second week due to smoke. Not getting Elk in the rut shots due to smoke. Did I mention it is smokey... and that reminds me no bear pictures due to smoke.

Patiently waiting for others to post awesome photos, thanks Maureen for waking us up. My Alaska trip in May was cancelled, I had hopes of filling a few memory cards and that didn't happen. I work everyday and not taking any photos, poor excuse I know.I wanted to make it back to the Dakotas this fall but can't get away at this time. I have several blinds to shoot from where I live, (two are Rednecks, with heaters) so if all else fails I'll try to photograph some White Tailed deer this fall. They are not a very intimidating animal though getting close can be a challenge, the blinds should help.
I'm sorry that so many are experiencing the fires and smoke in areas that normally can provide such beautiful places and animals to photograph and so many people have been limited with their traveling also. Where I live we are seeing temps in the 50's at night, 70's by day, plenty of rain, no fires, no smoke, leaf color beginning to change, I really should be taking some photos,

I'll be honest. I haven't touched my camera in nearly 6 months. There is nowhere to go and frankly there isn't much motivation to find places to go to shoot. Most of the National Parks are closed. Some of the beach areas are closed. Now the fires and smoke in Western Washington are wreaking havoc with the air quality.

So 2020 can't end soon enough but unfortunately we have no idea what 2021 has in store for us. My trip to Africa in late August 2021 is really up in the air (iffy). Hard to know with all the uncertainty about the virus, air travel etc. whether it's realistic to think a trip of that magnitude is in the cards. Time will tell and I'm holding out hope.

I have taken some photos outside of my Jackson Hole/Yellowstone trip but mostly of my grandkids. We have been having cooking lessons each week......making pasta was the most interesting. ߘ And I guess they can be considered wild animals most days. :-P:-P:-P

Thank you Mike :-)
I was really pushing the shutter speed on this one, he came out a tad softer than I would have liked due to his motion and mine.
I just hate dealing with high iso noise on the 7d mk1. I am really looking forward to an upgrade soon.
