Don’t you think we all need to post a real picture of ourselves? I would love to see all your faces & it will help me with my recovery, I am certain. ;-)a
I will go first….iPhone shot taken on my birthday 06 May. No comments on what an old girl I am……I am certain you know I was trying to hide that from you. :-D

I’ll play…

Yep, still alive. I had a few days last week when my nerves a lit up and gave me excruciating pain down my legs….pain medicine didn’t touch it so boy, I really suffered & was sleepless for 5 days & nights. Threw out the narcotics & went to marijuana at my son’s suggestion & it really helped. Who knew? Never thought I would turn to pot in my 60’s but here I am and it makes the pain much more tolerable. In 2 days I am going to fly to Denver & go do newborn pictures for my newest great nephew. Hope I can handle it.

Do whatever works for you, but, do not overdue it. It is going to get better.

Just remember to get up and move on the flight. Sitting was the worse thing after my surgery.

Oh I am sooooooo bored! I got the okay to go out on a boat at 8 weeks so I booked 3 whale watching trips for August 4-5......cannot wait! In the meantime, I will share a few unseen photos from Africa since I did not get the green light from my surgeon to go in September. Ah well, don't want to mess the back up going over bumpy terrain and through potholes so I am happy to delay it a few months.

A battle is brewing in the rain

Egyptian Geese and another look at the zebra with the pigment mutation. I often wonder if he survived.

I am hanging in there. It is 6 weeks tomorrow since the surgery and although I am back to "normal" life, I am still having quite a bit of nerve pain. Dr. said it could be another few months before it all settles down. Fortunately I am a pretty tough old bird and haven't used any pain medicine in 4 weeks.

Glad to see you back Maureen!

Why do you wonder if the zebra with the pigment mutation survived? Why would he/she not survive?

The rest of the herd was not happy with it….they avoided it. So we were not sure it would be protected from predators. Usually several zebras would kick at predators and a group of adults would surround the colts. But there was a lot of concern this would not be the case for this little guy.
