I am not a super religious person but I found myself thanking God all day long for the amazing creatures He created. And I thanked Him for allowing me to be there and partake of of the experience to appreciate them. Africa was special and I came home feeling a new appreciation for this planet and a new concern for preserving our wildlife.

This is the oldest lion on the Mara Plains, they call him Scarface. He is about 2 years past life expectancy for lions (14-15 yrs) and he is still interested in the ladies. However, he has a bum back right leg that he cannot bear weight on & a gauged up right eye and so the ladies are not interested in him. This led to a lot of cat fights.

So Simba didn't kill him after all!!

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.
