Last one of the elephants... I promise. This is 3 shots. The elephant in the back sneaks up on his pal in the front, then tries to lunge onto his back, all in good fun. Eventually the one in front turned around & that is when all the water play started up.

Maureen,

I do love all your wonderful photos! Thank you for sharing them with everyone here.

I do have a question for how you posted this last set of 3 pictures.....

You can't be using the "Upload images" option in AMASS because that only allows 2 photos, but I do not see any evidence that you are using a 3rd party image entry such as Flickr or the many other programs out there.

Are you using a 3rd party option that does not show what you are using??

Thank you!

I just made a blank page in Photoshop, then pasted the pictures on and sized it for posting. Kinda like paper & paste in kindergarten. I have no host site nor do I have anything but the bare essential Photoshop skills. Just barely getting by....:-P:-P:-P

This leads me to another question, I would think the new single image of three images would need to follow the 1600pixel max, but it looks like the images are still 1600pixel size for each image. It seems like if you use the 1600 for the single image the photos would appear much smaller in size?

I think the whole set of three is 1600 px tall. Each image is 782 wide and less than 782 tall. Its height would be a little more than 500.

I sized it just around 10 MB so when I upload it to POTN, the site sizes it correctly for viewing.

Sooo, when I post an image I size it in PS to 1600px on the long side and reduce the file size using jpegmini (to save space on POTN's servers) and it ends up usually 300 to 800 or so kb. Usually looks a bit crappy on POTN, especially portrait orientation, probably due to enlargement. So are you saying we can post much bigger files (up to 10 Mb and maybe 4 or 5000px) and the site will resize it and it will probably look better?

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

A mother and calf from a herd we spotted just before sunset in Madikwe National Park in South Africa.

More little ones. We really weren’t expecting to see so many young animals in the winter.

I just looked up the Image Rules which state:

Does Pekka need to update this statement and change it from 2.5MB in file size to 10MB in file size?

Would that also change the 1600 Max Pixel size?

I see. OK, I hope you'll indulge me in a little experiment. First is a juvenile darter, Anhinga novaehollandiae, second is Tolmer Falls in Litchfield National Park. Both at much greater size than I normally post.
