The roller and bee eaters are wonderfully colourful.
Two other birds with amazing colours that I saw, but didn’t get photos of were the violet eared waxbill and the blue waxbill. They look almost unbelievable.

But pound for pound, they are the strongest. I was so delighted that we saw some every day because they told us not to count on seeing any. HoneyMonster Senior Member More info | Our day time sightings were only glimpses. We did have a very good sighting of a leopard laying in a tree on the return from an evening drive, but it was pretty dark and high ISO was required.

MaureenSouza Ms. MODERATOR Something Spectacular! More info Post edited over 3 years ago by Maureen Souza. | I have several more cubs. We saw 3 while we were there and two of them twice. I was beyond giddy even though i didnt get very goid shots of them. They are well hidden in the darkest underbrush. I will dig out a couple more. Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

MaureenSouza Ms. MODERATOR Something Spectacular! More info | Mar 04, 2020 20:21 | #1404 I apologize for the poor quality of these shot but it was practically dark under the thick brush and sometimes I did not have a good vantage point for taking a photo. Leopard cubs! A real treat to see! Image hosted by forum (1030742) © Maureen Souza [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. HoneyMonster Senior Member More info | I have some of a lion on an elephant carcass at the same and even higher ISOs. They still need some processing, so I may be able to post some this weekend. These were on 5d3 and 7d2, so will likely be noisier than yours. I don’t think they will be suitable for printing at a large size.

MaureenSouza Ms. MODERATOR Something Spectacular! More info | Sometimes you just gotta get the shot to keep the memories but they aren't always in the best conditions. Lions were more active as dusk, leopards were under thick brush and my 100-400mm lens stops at f/4. And sometimes were were out in harsh light or under dark rain clouds. You just have to be flexible and do the best you can. Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
