Those are some great giraffe shots showing natural behaviour. The oxpeckers obviously didn’t appreciate the commotion.

More info Post edited over 3 years ago by Maureen Souza. | Mar 16, 2020 20:24 | #1460 While we were hiking at Eagle River in Alaska a few years ago, we got charged by this mama black bear. Luckily, another couple was walking right next to us and the 4 of us were able to make enough noise and appear threatening enough that she did stop her charge and go back up the hill to her babies. Talk about a scary situation! I was never anywhere that scared in Africa. But I still took pictures.... Image hosted by forum (1033136) © Maureen Souza [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. More info | Mar 16, 2020 20:26 | #1461 Another day in Alaska (same trip) we saw a big old grizzly hunker down for a nap. there was a river very close by full of salmon so our guess was he filled up and was ready to sleep some of it off. I wonder if anyone was actually staying in the cabin that he laid down next too. Image hosted by forum (1033139) © Maureen Souza [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Mar 21, 2020 22:55 | #1465 Muskox. They have been surviving since the early Ice-age and now could only be found in regions of Greenland, Ellesmere Island, Norway and some parts of Siberia. I had this opportunity to be up-close to them and see through my own eyes. Sadly, there is no further north in this world that they can migrate to, hope the Arctic stays protected and we contribute our part to keep it safe.
