This beautiful Broad-Winged Hawk is a frequent visitor around our neighborhood. This morning it landed in a Bradford Pear tree on my property and hung around for about 10 minutes as I took several pictures.

Thanks! When you have a "beautiful model" that cooperates, it makes the shoot much easier. :-D

Really nice pictures! Broad-winged hawks should all be in South America by now (except for some in very southern Florida) making it likely that this bird is an immature Red-shouldered hawk. Red-shouldered and Broad-winged hawk juveniles can look a lot alike, and often be difficult to tell apart. Since it's winter I'd bet it's a Red-shouldered.

Yeah these are sharp as hell! What lens were you using for these?

I was actually surprised they came out this sharp, even using LR5. I am using a 70-300 f4-5.6 non-L lens and typically struggle with clarity/sharpness when out at 300mm. Saving up now for a better lens. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the comments! I am not an expert by any means. And looking at a few pictures on the internet, makes me believe that you could indeed be correct. Thanks again for your insight!
