Hey, gang! I'm sure many have heard of the FlashQ wireless flash trigger system... If not, it's a new product on the market (as of last month) that is just what the doctor ordered for the Fuji X cameras... In a nutshell, absolutely tiny, radio powered, non-TTL flash triggers.

I just finished testing them extensively with the X-T1 and pretty much anything I could attach to the receiver, including studio strobes (which is what all the product photos were done with), Canon Speedlites and even a Leica SF-24D flash. The system worked every single time and regardless of what was mixed-and-matched, both inside and outside.

I'd be happy to answer any questions about them.

I'd heard of it but it's interesting to hear about actual use, Tx.

On latency (did I miss it?), it would be great to see how it copes with an APS-c camera at 1/320 th and then on a leaf shutter camera closer to 1/2000th.

Tx.

You're welcome! :)

Latency is a max of 900us. Sync speed is rated up to 1/250s; there are reports of people firing leaf shuttered cameras at 1/2000s.

" .. reports of people firing leaf shuttered cameras at 1/2000s .. "

So, modest range - but quick! (I think Cybersyncs claim 250 microsec.)

Tx.

They're rated for 10m, but I actually tested them (in the open) to 30m. Indoors it's naturally shorter and closer to the rated 10m... But nevertheless, there were multiple walls and metal objects in between. Can't really complain about their performance!
