As a photographer who enjoys everything visual, I decided to start applying some changes on my website and more specifically replacing all images with bigger resolution. I think in order to appreciate the quality of any visual they need to be served in correct size. Now my images are 1200 px on the widest end, before the were 850 px. Maybe one of the reason why I had them smaller size was because I had smaller screen to work with, but now every time I'm reviewing my website it bugs me something about the size of the images, like there is not the desired impact.
Please have a look, as I haven't resized yet all images so you can compare.

Any thoughts to share please do.
Thanks,
Nikolay.

The only potential problem I can see with the larger size with when you have images that are 1200px in the vertical dimension. That may be a bit too much for some viewers. I like the larger size you've gone with though...I think it's a pretty good compromise if you're not going to scale the images based on browser window size.

Instead of pixel size can't you set your div size as a percentage of the viewport? Or is this a template?

Your images are also very easy to lift: Right-click shenaningans is all it takes. Larger images are more tempting to picture thieves.

Hi guys, and thank you for the comments.

I'm no entirely sure, but I think that my WP template is browser responsive, although it is an old template.
When comes down to picture thieves, I don't know what to say as I haven't got much experience with that sort of people. But to the end of they day they are the one doing the wrong think and we are the one on the right track.
About the vertical dimensions I'm thinking to leave them the way they are currently, I think they fit well with the current size.
