Has anyone else used this card before..? On my 5D MKIII, it worked fine the first time or two that I used it. I just went to pull photos off of it, and nope - it looks like it's completely corrupt. My MacBook Pro doesn't even see it, and when I turn the 5D on, it just stalls for about 5-10 seconds, then finally comes up saying "Card 2 Error" and that it can't access it. Going to format with the camera, it just says "can't read card 2."

Has anyone else had an issue like this? I had an issue with a Lexar card a long time ago, but just figured I got a dud...this one worked the first time, then bam - nothing.

Is a common issue with the 5D? Seemed like a great product - so fast, could hold so many photos, I was using it for time-lapse where I'd need over 2,000 shots for long scenes. I'd even read a few reviews from Canon SLRs, I believe a couple of them were 5D users, and there were no mentions of any issues like this.

I think I'm gonna stick with SanDisk....have never had an issue with them!

I ran into a similar issue a few weeks ago with the Lexar Professional 32Gb 400x SD cards. Using it in my 6D the pics would look okay on the back of the camera, but then the fun began once I tried importing them into my computer. Firstly, my built-in card reader usually told me that there were no pics on the card. Then, once I was able to import the pics using an external card reader via USB, every so often a picture would either be completely corrupt, or have some skinny bars down the side. Both cards (I bought them as a pair through B&H) did this.

I contacted Lexar and they told me where to send them for analysis/repair/replacement. I had them on their way the next day. About a week and a half later I get a package in the mail with the cards. Now, I'm not sure if these are the same two that were "repaired" or they are replacements; stupid me didn't write down serial numbers (anyone know if memory card information lies somewhere deep in a picture's exif data?).

So far so good, they seem to read okay on my computer and haven't had any corrupt files. Time will tell. For now I won't use them on any "important" photos until they prove their reliability. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the reply, Dan! I guess I'll wonder down that path and see what they can do for me... :) perhaps I'll use the CF backup slot in the 5D to make sure my image aren't going from the lens to the trash :roll eyes: haha.

Thanks again for the quick response, if anyone else has any input, would love to hear it!
