I just figured I would share, the Dell P2715Q 27" 4K display panel is onsale right now for $525!
It's an incredible price. This is an IPS panel that can run at 60Hz, and is SST (not MST), so it has less issues with compatibility then the previous models.
I just picked up two of these last week to use with my Mac Pro (trashcan, D700 cards), replacing my two Apple Thunderbolt panels. The improvement is stunning. To my eyes, these look retina quality (even though yes, I know that you need 5K to get to the PPI densities we have in our mobile devices, but I cannot see pixels!).
Lightroom looks incredible!
