I just found a very minor problem... I went to my home page. It states there that I joined 19 March 2008 over 7 years ago.
Today is 8 march 2015.

It is not quite over 7 years just yet ;-)a

It might just take in count the starting month instead of the day ;)

Found a small glitch. Yesterday I unfollowed a thread, which worked as expected - today I didn't get a notification of new posts in that thread.

But when I view the thread listing in the Lounge (thread is "what are you listening to") it still shows that I'm following it. Not that it matters, but this does look like a glitch...

Does it have the [FOLLOWED] label (in light purple color) next to the thread title in https://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=21 ?

The "go to first unread" command is there in every thread you have visited, regardless of if it is followed or not. Read marking is just more "detailed" in followed threads, and you get notifications, too.

I'm actually starting to miss your Marty Feldman avatar. Reminds me of the scene in "Young Frankenstein" when Gene Wilder tells him to get the 'bags'.

Yep.

Here's a screenshot (thread is "what are you listening to?"):

Ok, now if you go to the page https://photography-on-the.net …read.php?t=1418398&page=7 which do you see on top right above the pagination:

FOLLOW THREAD

or

FOLLOWED [✓]

or

FOLLOWED []

Because I suspect you see the last one (followed + empty checkbox). This is a "bug" in the design that causes confusion sometimes. The last one means "notification is off, you still follow the thread"

To stop following the thread, hit the "FOLLOWED" text and click on the dialog "STOP FOLLOWING THIS THREAD". After your confirm it and page reloads, the text changes to

FOLLOW THREAD

and there is no checkbox at all.

I'll change that for the next version so that this is clearer. Anyone have a good icon for notification on/off??? :)

On: megaphone with "sound lines" radiating from its larger opening OR mouth shouting OR human figure waving and shouting. Off: the same, with the international symbol for "don't," the circle and diagonal.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa, more so (2 wds.), shoo-in | IMAGE EDITING OK

Yep. Followed with empty checkbox. OK, no problem at all, just thought you'd like to know about it...

I suddenly got logged out when I arrived at this page in Competitions: https://photography-on-the.net …ead.php?t=1355520&page=52

Seeing ads was a surprise. I'd been on POTN for several minutes.
