Pekka and all the other folks who contributed to the forum redesign... awesome! My first reaction was that I didn't like it, but the newest iteration with AMASS and customization makes the forum feel and look great.

I've got one little nitpick right now and that's the forum stats and the forum long/short view, rearrange and filter links. Any way to make these less prominent? Maybe move all of them to the bottom? It makes the top of the forum look too busy.

I could also understand wanting to keep the long/short view/rearrange/filter links at the top... maybe put those on the right side in the gray bar below the blue bar at the top and in smaller font?

Thanks for the consideration.

Even if you don't address the nitpick, great job on the forum upgrades!

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

OhLook
insufferably pedantic. I can live with that.

The bottom of the page is too busy as well. I could give additional suggestions for making the new design less "bumpy" and distracting, but in light of changes so far, I don't think they'd be applied.

Even if the bottom is "busy" it would be nice to add a page number links to the bottom of the "for your eyes only" index to allow users to easily go from one page to the next without scrolling up.

This function exists within a thread view so hopefully would be easy to implement and in line with the general site style.
