I've posted links many times on POTN. I just copied and pasted a link into a post and while the link is there in print, the actual linking ability (for lack of a better phrase) is not.

What am I doing wrong?

This is the link I copied and pasted. Any suggestions?

OK... this works... why doesn't the Amazon link?

If you click on More tools and commands then 'Named URL' this will embed the link.

Is that what you meant?

I just went to the Amazon page, click copy to the address and pasted:

Or there's the Named URL on the more tools to embed the link to a word or words (as Norry Rodgers has posted).

Your link is missing the "http://" or "https://". Maybe that's it? -?

Blurred Cube was right... when I copied it from Amazon the first time, it didn't include the http://

Thank all of you who responded.

You have actually found a bug as links should work without http:// (it is added automatically if missing). I have fixed the bug in dev version and will apply it here iin the weekend. Thanks!

Thanks, Pekka.

I know I'm not that bright but I had copied and pasted links before and never ran into a problem.
