My daughter has a Dynatran AT6308 tripod. She broke the pan head when it fell off a shelf. Where can I find a replacement since the company is out of business?

As in, there is a standard mount for tripod heads that most manufacturers use. Some very low budget units will have a proprietary mount for their heads, essentially making the heads irreplaceable; however that is pretty rare. Check with B&H, Adorama, or Amazon and find a 3 way head that fits your budget. Just make sure you take off the old head to ensure it uses the standard 1/4-20 mount that most tripods use. The top of the center column should have a flat surface with a stud sticking out like this: Here's a link to a Calumet unit on Amazon for $50: http://www.amazon.com …eywords=3+way+tripod+head Just search for "3 way tripod head" or "pan tilt tripod head" VanillaImaging.com
