Thanks Ronnie. Was def cool watching them grow up. The den was only a couple km's away from our home. They had 3 kits in all, and all survived to adulthood.

That is an absolutely wonderful image, Cat!

I really like how you got separation between the fox's belly and the ground....all too often, would-be silhouettes are rather ruined by truncating the legs. Great job not to let that happen.

I also especially like the boughs of the evergreen tree (spruce?); the way they are rendered, and the degree to which they are blurred, is just perfect.

I looked at your post for the particulars, but did not see them. Would you be able to give us the basic info; camera, lens, focal length, ISO, shutter speed, and aperture? It is always interesting and helpful to know what decisions the photographer made when taking the shot. Also, is this "as shot", or is it cropped? If cropped, by how much?

Thank you

"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thank you all so much for the kind compliments. Does mean a lot as it is one of my fav Fox pics I have taken. Totally wild, no park setting, or much of any human interaction with these at all. I was probably one of the few persons they would ever have come in contact with, which makes it even more special to me.
Camera was a Canon 1DMkIV with a 500 f4L, and 1.4XTC attached, shot at 1/1250 sec, f8, and iso of 2500.
