Your wife is very pretty. I am just starting to really learn about editing so take this with a grain of salt. The only thing I would say would be to lighten her eyes up a little (left one is pretty dark).

Hey, thanks (my wife says thanks too!)

About the eye. I see your point 100%, but, would a lighter eye mess up with the shadow? I'll give it a try! :)

Good point. I am not sure. Give it a try and see what you like best...either way it is a very nice picture of her.

She is an intelligent-looking lady, but we need to see her face more. I find that woollen garment very dominating in the shot. The exposure seems good. Was it an overcast day?

We live in Ireland, so 99% of the days are overcast :)

Looks good cubatahavana! Exposure looks perfect, background is nicely blurred, subject is sharp and you managed to not get any glasses reflections!

I think I agree, and like your edit with the slightly brighter right eye. Did you use PS or Lightroom? In my limited experience, PS seems to handle shadow dodging better.

Thanks for sharing!

nice b/w! as for the eye situation, you did a good job fixing it wile keeping it feeling natural. I'm not sure the techniques you used but I recommend loading the PW action sets into ps. These actions are so useful and easy! The 'bring on the eyes' action would have been perfect for this one.
