Jan 27, 2015 02:11 | #2 Very good sky. And there is structural coherence between the shape blocks of the clouds and the patterns of those roads. Not quite like I remember them, but I lived in the area MANY moons ago. I think the town we lived in was called Oildale. We had extended family that lived in Bakersfield, so we were always going around the area to see family members. But that was in the late 70's. Name is Ron.

SkyBaby Goldmember More info Post edited over 8 years ago by SkyBaby. | Feb 06, 2015 16:29 | #9 I like the framing and distance, myself. I can tell the field extends a very long way away. I think the distance and composition lend a unique perspective. I've seen oil fields in Texas and Oklahoma while on family road trips and it's so flat in most of those areas that the only way I can think of to get a view from above is by helicopter or plane or maybe one of those cherry picker trucks. Maybe come back to this spot with a longer lens. Im viewing this on my iPad, so it is a little hard to tell what the brown area is without zooming or reading your description. This area has gotten a lot of rain so maybe it will stay green for at least the rest of this year. ~Kira~
