On the beach today, a comical looking Willet slowly came up to me with an inquisitive look. He seemed to be sizing me up. He also brought along a couple of friends in tow, one of them this beautiful little Turnstone.
Ruddy too was slowly coming closer to me and honestly looked like he wanted to ask me a question !

Well, something happened and the little flock took flight all at once and the the brief show was over. As I plunked myself down in the warm sand to review what the camera had seen, I realized what a fix this little guy was in !

What a mess..... I went off down the beach in the direction they flew hoping to get another glimpse of him and offer him some relief if I could, but they were nowhere to be found. :-( I felt helpless and couldn't get this little guy and his predicament out of my mind for the rest of the afternoon.

I sure hope something happens in his favor soon.
