Hollywood B&W Glamour

Always loved the Hollywood Starlets from the 40s and thought I would try to re-create a Black & White portrait similar to that era

Not sure why my image is not showing up automatically. Showing as "Redirect or Missing"

Not sure what you did wrong. I copied the link to the "Embed web image" field, hit fetch and then clicked on the image to display it.
If you want to try it again, I'll delete it from my post.

I like the shot.

Thanks Bob_r I did exactly as you have, twice. Yours is not showing in my thread either. Does the image show automatically for anyone else?
Sucks that these posts are being wasted on display issues and not the image

The image did not show for me at first. I had to click on the link to see it. Very nice B&W shot.

Thank you. Not sure why it's doing this. Tried reloading the image several times. I let the Mods know so hopefully they can fix it

I like this a lot too. There is a dark spot on her forehead that's a little bothersome though.

That is strange. When I previewed it, it was visible in my post. I'll delete the reference to it in my original post.

Probably a server configuration issue in your server.

The forum image crawler, which checks and validates all posted images, tried to download your photo and it was served an empty text/html response with http status 404 (not found).

Perhaps your server has some settings that deny direct image downloads. Your server logs should show something.

You should be able to edit your first post. Reload this page if you do not see the edit button. People can see the image though that link, though.

Pekka thanks for steering me in the right direction. I renamed my image file name by eliminating the "&" in B&W. All is well now

BTW: You could also try to avoid using spaces in web folder names. Most browsers convert them to %20 but some may not (if you forget to do spaces as %20).

That is a great photo. If you add it to your gallery you just might have a "Best Of" there

In case you wonder how:

1. Click that [ADD TO YOUR GALLERY / EDIT METADATA] on top of the photo.
2. When the metadata editor opens, click FILL USING IMAGE EXIF.
3. Then click save and you'll get that "ADD TO YOUR GALLERY" button on top left of the image. Click that to add the image to your gallery.
