Very nice Sandy, that peanut must make a whole meal for that first little guy. It's bluejays vs woodpeckers vs chickadees at my peanut feeders.

Your 1st image is funny Sandy as the little guy struggles with the "monster" peanut. :-) I don't think I've seen any of my Carolina's attempt the feat.
The snowy beak image is extremely cute too. Another one my Chickadee's can't mimic very often.....thankfully!
Lovely Downy image although she looks perturbed about something. Great detail for a "through the window" capture; keep those windows clean!

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Thanks Ian..I didn't recognize you! I love watching the little birds taking the peanuts and the large pieces of dried fruit in this mixture. The White Breasted Nuthatches take the dried fruit too! If they drop it, they go back and get a new piece, where as the Chickadees fly down and pick up whatever they drop!

Thanks Steve. I don't mind the snow and cold, in small doses, but it has been quite cold for quite a while now. I think the Downy was waiting for her turn at the feeder.
