Found the 2006 Annual report and in the interest of not hijacking this thread I posted the link under the poll thread. Not attempting to invalidate Geoff's points as they are quite valid, rather just trying to inform.

With the info provided by Geoff and Adam, I need to withdraw my support for this. Sorry.

OK Frank and Kristy, Im here.

As for the hope kids event. I'm interested. I agree we need more details and I will have to resolve a conflict if the timing is wrong. I have a 4 light battery pack set. if it works out and is needed. I feel creating a fun and exciting shoot would be a great distraction for those going thru the challanges of battling cancer.

hey, not sure if I'm going to help and volunteer or not. not really looking forward to doing some work with my leg in this condition. I guess it's too early to tell right now because of my leg. who knows how I'll be in two weekends. I just gotta take it easy for now.

Hi AZ Photogs... I believe this may be some of the group that I met at the lighting class in Mesa several weeks ago. Hope you all are well. I see that you are doing a lighting clinic on the 28th and it looks like fun. I wanted to tell those of you who are portrait photographers about an event that I am participating in to see if anyone else would have any interest in helping.
There is an organization in the valley called HopeKids and it is similar to the Make a Wish foundation. Hope Kids provides support and encouragement to children who are battling cancer. On the 28th of July we are doing a family portrait benefit for the families and children of HopeKids. Often these families have little or no time and often resources are limited to have professional portraits done.... so HopeKids is doing a portrait day for them. Currently there are only 4 of us who will be doing the photography and we are anticipating as many as 85 families. If there is anyone who would be interested in assisting please email me at hotofabulous1@msn.com (external link). I am definitely not trying to hijack this thread nor do I want to throw any monkey wrenches into your get together, but this is going to be an incredible event... a wonderful opportunity to serve others and I think we are going to need more help.

Again, hope you are all well. Blessings to each of you.

Barb

My computer died and I just got the new one up to speed. So, I'm a bit late to this thread. I can bring pretty much a full studio setup. We can use anything in my gear list. Happy to join in.:D

in october?

Nice shots adam b. that last shot of the "pool you almost fell in". isn't there a play there so you could cross the huge rock and continue hiking? I think it was at the top right of your picture. idk, but while trying to cross it I almost fell backwards onto that downsloped rock and then prolly into the rock below and then that water. :-)
