Picacho Shoot Day Trip - this Sunday 2/17 from 10am - 6pm - other stuff

I think I'll attempt to make this too. I've got nothing going on. I, of course, have a far longer drive than you people in Chandler ;) Hooray for Anthem.

Just an FYI, one guy is driving from Glendale so let me know if you would like to carpool (PM me) and I can get you two in contact.

I would like to attend if it's ok with you guys. I have been lurking for a while and this seems like a great group.

PM sent.

I am @ 43 Ave. & Union Hills. I have room for 3 in my station wagon.

Got your PM joeb1 and we would be glad to have you join! That makes 3 of you from the North/Northeast valley so I'll coordinate something for the photography peeps in that neck of the woods. :)

I'm not sure how many made it to the captivated by light seminar last night but it was great. I think Kristy was originally the one who posted the link here so thank you. I really enjoyed the presenter Ed Pierce and the information was well worth giving up Valentine's Day evening.
The only person I bumped into was Tom O. He was busy checking all the vendors out so I didn't get a chance to chat for long.
I ended up picking up one of the calibration targets and that thing is great. It comes with a good DVD which shows exactly how to use it so I have been playing around in my free time. I also signed up for Photovision for only $35 and that gets you 6 DVD's on the latest lighting techniques sent every other month for a year.
I'm also now looking into Lightroom and Nik Color Efex Pro. Ugh!!! When will the spending ever end??? Anyone here using Lightroom that switched over from CS3?? I am just starting to develop a good workflow in CS3 so I am afraid to make the jump so soon.

Glad you made it Brendan, I saw Kristy, Hatch and Steve there and it was a good seminar. I darted out about 10:30 :(. Kristy, how did you like the maternity segment? I left while it was starting.

Would love to hear feedback on Lightroom as well!

Brendan,

Lightroom isn't a replacement for CS3. It enhances your Photoshop workflow.
