Well, I realized tonight that I totally suck at moon shots...but I got lucky with the storm that rolled in to the NW valley...fun! That's our house in the middle, my car on the left.

I'm also interested in the Matsuri fest...since I'll be living in Japan for the next 3 years.

Cool shot... I just got home from the gym... I kept hearing a loud sound, but it didn't register that it was a storm outside... Duh!

I'd love to catch some lightning someday.... Anyway, cute house.. :)

2+ hours of sitting outside, and the moon was pretty much impossible to catch. May have gotten some lightning shots from the north Scottsdale area, not sure til I download the shots tho. We did play around a bit with a flashlight and long exposures tho. Hope they turned out decently...

Do we have a place/time in mind for meeting at the Matsuri fest? I am certainly looking forward to it!

If you see people with Canon gear, stop and say hi.:D

Well, here's the best, and only, shot I was able to get...

http://xanthotech.com …Eclipse/IMG_7205.jpg.html (external link)

Yeah, total failure on the eclipse. Had some fun with various other shots (external link) though. Then the rain REALLY started coming down. We tried to use the windshield sunshade thingy I had in my car for shelter to protect the camera for a bit, but that didn't work too well, and I totally forgot to pack a trash bag in my gear to build a makeshift poncho for the camera.

Got myself about 75-100 shots of the Eclipse. Clouds stayed parted in Anthem. ;)

I'll get to them eventually.

Nice catch
I almost went out to shoot, but by the time i was aware of the storm, it was POURING and my Canon would not be too happy 'bout that!

New shots of the girls in the people section... Father-Daughter dance is tonight, so I had to snap a few.... Got some cute ones, shared just two... So difficult to not be the "Photo Album" parent sometimes... anyway... feel free to peek if you feel like it.

Funny Mike.... We all need a little protection every now and then... :)

Since NASCAR doesn't race on Easter weekend, anyone interested in getting out and about for a group shoot on Saturday March 22? We've added new folks and it would be great to do another face to face (lens to lens?) "Hi How Are Ya?"
