nice shots hatch! which lens were you using? were you shooting around f5.6-f8? btw, it's weird to say but I'm jealous of your wife's arm definition and of her quads...wish my quads would get that big too...especially since I'm still affected by one not fully recovered yet...

Hahaha! No kidding... I want her torso... lol well... not literally, that would be really freaky and disgusting. I'd like to have a torso like your wife's Hatch... lol

70-200L IS
F/6.3 -F/9.0 depending on the shot.

LOL about the quads... she looks all big in the photos but she is tiny.

Glad you like the shots, thanks for the comments.

I am waaaaaayyyyy behind on this thread... WOW! Gary... AWESOME birdie shots. You're lookin' good out there in the bird world. Keep posting those beauties!!

Hatch, what can I say? Betty looks PHENEMONAL...! WOWZA! I mean she looks amazing. I bet she was so happy to have placed where she did. She really bulked up a bit more for this show... Is she doing the next one?

Looks like you're having fun with the lighting... It's working nicely. Only adjustments I would make are the specular highlights on her face. I realize it it skin oil, and a REALLY HOT environment.. but that is one of those things that I try to avoid... On the latest shots with the lake.. camera right has a large shadow on the back of her leg.. I'd like to see that open up a bit more... maybe throw in a reflector.

If you want me to come and help out, give me a call and I'd be happy to play for an hour or so. :)

That's it from this corner.. just adjusting to our new famly member... she's so sweet!

Hi Josh... :) Nice to see you over here. We love new friends. And yeah.. like Ryan said... we'd love to see some of your shots... :)

THis is a great group with a bunch of friendly people. Lots of different talent in different areas. Amazing group. We've been trying to plan an outing but I think we're afraid of the heat.. LOL...

Early morning at the botanical gardens or something sounds okay... or someone mentioned Jerome since it's cooler. We just need to make a date and time and a place.... sounds simple enough.... LOL :)

Don't give me any ideas... LOL... I was going for the cute pink collar with little rhinestone on it.. I got voted out by the family.... I'll get one when no one is around...
Our last dog was a boy.. so this one needs to be all girly... it will be cute to have this huge dog with a fluffy collar and pink to nails.... Wonder if a dog can get a "French Manicure" anywhere... LOL.. :)

AND HEY RANDY.... I forgot to comment on your images... LOVELY as usual. Pardon my rudeness.. Do you live on the westside?

And HEY SCOTT!! Ya leavin' us? And all for a more beautiful part of the country... Soooo NOT fair.. ;) We'll miss you on outings, but you can still post with us here. :)

As soon as I get somewhere to put my photos online I will have some of my trip to the U.K. and then honeymoon in Seattle. Any suggestions on places to host photos?

Josh

Hey Josh, there are quite a few places. a few of us here use flickr.com. they're free unless you want to upgrade to the "pro" package for 24.95/year, which just means unlimited uploads and few other quirks. um, I think some use smugmug. and those are the only ones I can think of at the moment. but yeah, check them out first to see which you like. good luck!
