Hey Josh! Welcome! :)

I also use PhotoBucket.com. I like it. Seems to be a pretty good... program... site... thing.

LOL...

Good Lord! That is an amazing shot Jay!! Why is there a blue tint to part of the sun rays? Despite that... absolutely wonderful! :)

Hi all, trying to get caught up again. Hi to the newcomers, welcome aboard :).

Kristy, thanks for the kind words. I certainly hope we can get in another outing before we leave the valley, and yes a cool place would be best for me! Loving the shots of your newest family member. I agree with Ryan, my eyes scanned down from the pink collar and instantly I said 'oh NO, not pink toe-nails!' but I was mistaken, LOL.

Randy, wow-did you use any filter on that reflection shot? Both are incredible shots! Sure wish I could spend some time learning from you.

Guerry-with the repost of the Pyrrhuloxia there is no question to my eyes, the new one is many times better. I know your goal was to get nice/natural/crisp images and your recent shots all seem to be hitting the mark and that one is now dead on to me. Great job!

Hatch-congrats to the wife! Your stage shot was top notch. Your 'Practice' shot was my favorite outdoor and you took advantage of the wildfire haze blocking out the sun in the BG, and even got it's reflection in the water. Well done! It seems you are now mastering powered outdoor lighting too, what else is there for you to learn? :P

Jay-great shot of the sky. Please tell more like where and how much PP did you do? Very powerful image.

More than likely it's due to altitude. With more PP work I could probably neutral that out more but I'm working from the road using my laptop.

It's calibrated but I'd trust my 24" Dell at home more than the portable. I'll probably re-work it when I get done with racing.

Thanks for the kind words.

Wow, thats pretty cool. I've never seen that before while flying. Sooo... when did you take this shot? If you're on the road.... unless you have the magic school bus, but I'm going to take a wild guess and say no to that one. :p

Shot from 8F on a US Airways Express flight from Charlotte to Daytona Beach.

5D + 24-105mm f/4L IS

Exported from LR to CS3:
Very Aggressive Curves Adjustment (mostly to get the black levels down...)
Saturation Boost
Tweak with Exposure (More powerful tool than just using "Levels")
Crop to Pano
High Pass Sharpening

Southbound US Airways Express flight from Charlotte to Daytona Beach. The sunset was to the right and slightly behind the plane.

"On The Road" = Simply not home...

I'm missing the desert very badly right now. Can't wait to get out and shoot some Monsoon this year.

Couldn't wait until it was completely dark, eh?

Good effort but you just kinda handcuffed yourself with the lack o' light...

It was good......? More like FABULOUS!! WOWZA! That is an awesome shot... Gotta love that humidity for simply the clouds it produces! Slight credit to the photographer too... ;)

We had a beautiful evening sky here tonight.. I was driving to the gym and the rays were jetting out a huge area of clouds.... And I was thinking to myself... "If I were a true photographer, I'd forget the Pilates class and grab my camera and head for the hills..." Needless to say the Pilates class won out this time...

I wonder if anyone else was lucky enough to shoot it?????

This is soooo cool! I love these thing-a-ma-jiggies.... I keep wanting to make one, but my tripod is broken and my house is crazy. Someday.....

Anyway, I like it, even though you have a little motion here and there, it's still darn cool!! :)

Oh... that makes sense.

The monsoons are pretty nice already. Already started a fire too! :D So that's always exciting.
