A friend of mine shoots a calendar annually and he has a deal where he receives a fee from each calendar sold on top of his shoot fees. I am not sure of the numbers involved but he assures me he makes more from the sales of the calendars than he does from the shoot.

Don't know if this angle is possible for you but thought I would throw it out there.
