Hoping NavyDoc (Gene) will see this and consider it for a two page spread in his "Man's Health" August issue ... :-P

I left room on the left and right for copy .... just having fun with this and hoping for some inspiration from Gene's post production skills.

Details - 85/15 Grass fed beef, studded with fresh chopped Serrano chilies and sweet yellow onion. Seasoned with fresh cracked black pepper, kosher salt, and Head Country Rub. Dressed with crisp Romain lettuce, sliced tomato and Hass Avocado on a Hawaiian Kaiser sweet bun

Served with skin on fries and southern pit BBQ beans.

I only have a magazine cover template at the moment so I didn't add the description (turn to page 3 for that :p ). I didn't swap out all the text on the page since it is one single image and it would take too much time to replace all of it.
Hope you like it.

I had some corned beef I cooked the other day left over so I decided to fry up some potatoes o'brien and add some 'hashed' corned beef to the mix. That and scrambled eggs made for a mighty fine breakfast. ♥

(Sorry for all the breakfast shots. :-))

The low angle of light works well in both views.

For Lupo :) the two dishes I posted in the raw food thread. Phyllo tart with leeks and potatoes and Chinese chicken with almonds. Horrible shots as I never have enough time to shoot and style while my family is starving :)

I'm working on a new video. It's for a potato pancake recipe using instant mashed potatoes. This will suit my life style just fine since it's quick and easy and doesn't require me to have any left over mashed potatoes lying around first. :)

This was the first time I tried this recipe and it turned out delicious.

Filmed using a Sony a6300 + FE 24-70 f4 lens

Nice but I would have preferred some real mashed potatoes :)

Non naming names, but someone mentioned making potato pancakes with mashed potato mix. Blekhh! How could anyone possibly equate them with grated potatoes with the little crispy bits sticking out at the edges? And chunks of onion inside?
So I shot this:

Hashed browns? Not here. They're not made in a cake like the potato pancakes, with flour & egg. Mashed together when fried, they may look similar, though.

I actually like them fixed both ways. I liked the idea of using instant mashed instead of normally mashed potatoes for the convenience of it.

I like fried mashed potatoes, but need that "crunch in the munch" from potato pancakes. ; )

Fried mashed potato with left over cooked cabbage (or peas or even brussels sprouts) are great - known as Bubble and Squeak in the UK. Traditionally eaten during the week/made from left over mashed potato and veg from the Sunday roast.
