Now I want a cookie... or several.
It could be because of your excellent capture.
Or it could be those cookies look delicious.
Or it could be I love homemade cookies.

Yeah, it's all of those. The only thing missing here are the smells.

Thanks icopus. :-) One of those scenarios that she enjoyed baking them and the shoot went smoothly. The house smells like peanut butter too. :-D

The Mrs. baked up a batch of peanut butter chocolate chip cookies last night. This is a focus stack of 4 frames.

those look great...I would leave out the chocolate chips and just do peanut butter...care to share a recipe...

Why focus stack? To me even on small size it looks a bit fuzzy like oof.

Wanted the background to be softer for the relative aperture. At the native aperture the DOF was much shallower which I didn't like the foreground look. Not as narrow as the 100 macro though. This one yielded about 2.75" of depth for the composite. One of the other test frames was at f7.1 and that one alone came close with about 2.25". Two frames worked ok though the background was much more discernible which wasn't my intended goal. Not OOF though it does appear that way on the forum image.

Yummm! For the gobble-gobble day we've decided to smoke some turkey breasts. Haven't done any yet so this will be interesting. Any tips to share when smoking poultry? :)

Soak your Turkey in a brine. I use a mixture of molasses, honey, peppercorns, apple juice, and salt. You should soak it for 24 hours. I then inject it with apple juice.

Love the black and yellow look! Do you have a shot with the cinnamon (?) on top of the leaves, not behind it?

Constructive criticism and editing always welcome.
