My old "take it and run" set-up of 4 Vivitar 283s has become more...interesting...to work with since the trigger voltage would fry my digital camera. I DO have a WEIN Safe Sync, but it sits a bit loose in the hot shoe. The other flashes fire by optical slaves.
Is it just time to join the modern strobists out there and grab some Yongnuo (or similar) flashes? (I'm thinking something with built in optical slave, adjustable power level, and low enough voltage that I wouldn't fry a radio trigger/receiver system.)
Thoughts?
Recommendations?
