Has any of you went across the Cherohala Skyway? http://www.telliquah.com/skyway.htm (external link) It goes from Tellico Plains over mountains into N.C. Absolutely beautiful drive. Makes about a 4500 ft climb. Highly recommended.

I have not yet... I thought about going out there with my camera. I have not lived here that long.

What do you shoot?

Hey hammerhead... looks like we've got some of the same addictions! IMHO... The East Tennessee area has got some of the best roads in the country. From The Dragon and Skyway to the Smokys and the Blueridge Parkway... it just doesn't get much better.

However, I'm more often scooting off to no where, down some back country road... looking for pics. Good thing the GPS always points me back home.

Yeah, I always see more bikes than cars when I'm there. You live in a beautiful area, though I don't live too far away (Cleveland). I have been known to take the Skyway over to NC, go up to Cherokee, then up to Gatlinburg. Definitely not the short way to get there, but it is a beautiful drive.:)

Hey folks,
I am from Chattanooga/Cleveland (half way between). I have not gotten to shoot with other Canon users, my main photog friend was beguiled by the noink. but I still go shooting with him sometimes.
Any of you do Macro? that is the direction I am headed.
