Awesome colors. Love the clarity of winter sunrises and sunsets. If it only wasn't that cold to shoot them......

Wow! Technically sound image with perfect color, composition and balance. I love how the barren tree was placed in the image, and the horizon is not centered!! I also really like the fact that you can see the snow too...bravo!!

Thanks, Andy! The change in elevation from the nearby town of Damascus is over 3,500’making the climate change similar to going to Canada.

Buckeye, this was taken from the bald on Whitetop Mountain (elevation 5,520’) in SW VA. It is near the tri-state corner where NC, TN, and VA meet. It is the second highest point in the state and the view here looking east allows you to see the southern side of nearby Mount Rogers, the highest point. Thanks again for your comments/critique!
