No ISO 64? That's one of the best features on the D810.

But the inbuilt bulb timer sounds very nice.

Hope it improves on Canon's shoddy DR - if so, I'll be interested in the R version.

The question is: who makes the sensor ? :).

Bodies like this are designed for performance, not budget.

If you want a budget option, there are cheaper options available from a number of manufacturers. Just don't expect the same capabilities.

And the next question is: will the 5D4 have a more traditional resolution (24-30MP)?

I'd guess so. Just as they had the 1D and 1Ds lines with similar bodies but different sensors, the 5D and 5Ds lines would be similar.

Although I'd guess 32MP or so.

The picture looks 100% like a photoshopped version of my 5D3. While the specs may end up correct, call me skeptical on the picture. Additionally, has Canon ever used the Nikon gold font?

I am a bit bummed about the native ISO range... But given that this will be a studio/landscape camera, it makes sense. I can deal with the 5fps, but the 6400 ISO would limit me a bit... I shoot at 12,800 and 25,600 quite often. Guess I will have to wait for the next 'basic' 5D successor.

I bet this will make a ton of people happy though!

does this mean that it is not a Sony sensor since the D810 and D750 both go to 12,800 natively? I would have expected at least that in any large improvement in sensor technology, or am I missing something?

I am disappointed by the ISO range as well. A camera like this should start the range at 50 or at least 64.

Capping it at 6400 is interesting. I do not believe that the 100-6400 proves or disproves that the sensor is made by Canon or Sony; the D810 and a7R have lower resolution sensors, which may accommodate the extra stop of ISO performance.

It will be interesting to see official specs - I don't see why a 50MP needs a low-pass filter at all.

I did a forensic analysis of the image last night.

It's legit.
