Wow thats a mouthfull!

Is this system good enough to track BIF? Im in the process of reevaluating my photography gear. I LOVE Canon gear but Canon's strong point is their lens lineup. Quite frankly I cant justify the cost of the top L lens so I use Sigma and Tamron lenses. When it comes to camera bodies I feel their are other impressive options besides Canon. All reviews have SOny and Nikon bodies rankes ahead of Canon as far as image quility. Sony also has a lot of interesting features. So this leads me to consider a Sony body with Sigma and Tamrons lenses. I am also getting a m4/3 system for easy carry and travel.

the type of photography I am interested in is wildlife with a lot of BIF. I will also be photographing cycling races. Right now I have a Canon 7D.

thanks for your input!

Canon 7D, Sigma BigmOS. various canon and sigma lenses, Speedlite 430EX ii, Promaster SystemPRO 2n tripod/Manfrotto Joystick Head. Delkin Compact Flash Cards.
